this is wonderful place to relax, eat and chat... we were shopping nearby and decided to have something to eat here... staff is very friendly, decor is great, music is soft, and food is wonderful... we had eggplant, shrimp curry and pork curry... the portions were large for us but we accepted the challenge :)

We tried Ryota in Chicago and absolutely loved it. From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding. Our server was incredibly kind and friendly, taking the time to explain every type of fish that was served, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was quick without ever feeling rushed. We ordered the Chirashi Bowl, and it was packed with incredibly fresh, high-quality fish—perfect for sharing between two people. Every bite was delicious, and the freshness really stood out. The highlight for me was the unagi nigiri. It was my first time trying unagi, and I instantly became a fan. It was perfectly prepared, with a great balance of flavors and texture, and easily one of the best bites of the meal. They also have an impressive cocktail menu, although we didn’t get the chance to try any this time. We’ll definitely be back for that. Overall, it was an amazing dining experience, and I’d easily recommend Ryota to anyone looking for one of the best Japanese restaurants in Chicago.

We came here a year ago and came back again from Minnesota! We absolutely LOVE Ryota! ❤️😭 Food is just made with such HIGH QUALITY and care! Gourmet style! And services are absolutely AMAZING TOO! We will DEFINITELY be back AGAIN NEXT YEAR!!! 🥹🥹🥹

Got takeout from working around the corner and it was one of the best rolls I’ve ever had. The ingredients they used tasted so fresh and were just bursting with flavor! The employees were very attentive and nice also, would love to eat here again!

My husband and I came here before attending event at the United Center. The service was fast, pleasant, and attentive! The food was so delicious! Definitely one of the best sushi places I’ve had yet!
